The Invacare Perfecto 2 Home Oxygen Concentrator is a 5-liter oxygen therapy system for use at home. The release of the Perfecto 2 marks significant advances in home oxygen concentrators as the unit combines a compact and lightweight design with quiet operation and superior oxygen delivery.

The Invacare Perfecto 2 is housed in a durable hard, plastic shell and features a light base color with stylish dark gray control panel and casters. At just 23 inches tall and 13 inches wide, the Perfecto 2 is an inconspicuous solution for oxygen dependent patients who need a full featured oxygen concentrator at home. Invacare developed this home oxygen system to allow for increased mobility throughout the home. The sturdy molded handle at the top of the unit allows easy maneuverability from room to room. For even greater mobility, the Perfecto 2 rolls easily on four dark gray industrial strength casters. At just 49 pounds, the Invacare Perfecto 2 is a lightweight option for a fully functioning home oxygen concentrator. The Perfecto 2 operates at less than 43 decibels to allow patients to sleep easily with the oxygen concentrator running in their room.

The Perfecto 2 features a good looking dark gray control panel which puts everything you need to operate the unit at arms length. A sturdy oxygen outlet for cannula attachment sits at the top of the control panel next to oxygen purity indicators and alert lights. The optional SensO2 feature on the Perfecto 2 monitors the purity of oxygen generated by the unit and alerts patients via the light panel if oxygen purity falls below factory standards. A sturdy flowmeter with an attached flow control knob is also easily accessible at the top of the control panel.

The Perfecto 2 turns on with the flip of a power switch, located in the lower right hand corner of the control panel. Once turned on, the panel lights and audible alarm sound on the machine to indicate that the unit is functioning properly. Built-in safety features including an elapsed time meter and circuit breaker round out the control panel on this innovative home oxygen concentrator.

Oxygen Delivery:

The Perfecto 2 is a unique home oxygen concentrator in that it delivers oxygen via a pressure based system, rather than on a time based system like most other oxygen concentrators available on the market.

Invacare's Perfecto 2 is capable of delivering from 0.5 to 5.0 liters per minute, which makes it a great solution for all types of oxygen therapy patients, including CPAP dependent patients. At all flow settings, the Perfecto 2 delivers oxygen concentration purity levels of between 87% and 95.6%.

A unique feature of the Perfecto 2 is that it is compatible with home fill tanks. Invacare offers a home fill oxygen system so that patients can fill their own oxygen tanks at home. The powerful compressor built into the Perfecto 2 allows the unit to work with these Invacare Home Fill oxygen systems. The Perfecto 2 easily connects to the Home Fill system, giving patients the option of oxygen delivered via a tank when preferred.

Video Summary:

Starting Cost:

The Invacare Perfecto 2 meets clinical standards for oxygen dependent patients in a lightweight, quiet and affordable unit. Invacare's concentrators are designed to minimize needed maintenance. The cabinet filter is easily accessible and should be cleaned approximately once a week depending on environmental conditions. To clean the cabinet filter, simply wash it with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly, or use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter. If the Perfecto 2 is being used in a high dust environment, the cabinet filter may need to be cleaned more frequently than once a week.

The cabinet that houses the filter should also be wiped down with a clean cloth and mild household cleaner when the filter is cleaned. Some available accessories, such as a humidifier attachment, should be cleaned daily. When operated at 3 liters per minute, the Perfecto 2 consumes only 280 watts of power. This makes the Perfecto 2 one of the most energy efficient home oxygen concentrators available and 25% more energy efficient than the Invacare Platinum XL.

How does this machine create oxygen? Isn't the machine really compressing air? There isn't any water input nor electrolysis to separate oxygen from hydrogen. What is the process that separates oxygen from the ambient air and delivers it to the patient?

    • Danielle Jason

That's a wonderful question, Jim. If you'll click here:
you can read our page on How Oxygen Concentrators Work which even includes a moving graphic of the inner workings of the machine! Let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Ari Abraham

Does this product have a humidifier? Where do you put the water if so?

    • Danielle Jason

Thank you for your inquiry, Ari. Yes, this product does work with a humidifier bottle; however, it does not require a brand specific accessory. You can simply purchase a Standard Humidifier Bottle here: or depending on the setting you require, if you are over 6 you will need to purchase a high-flow humidifier bottle that can go up to 15! You can view that here: The water would go inside the bottle. Feel free to give us a call at 877-774-9271 if you'd like to place an order or have any further questions.

My Invacare Perfecto2 has a big sticker on it that says "Humidiflow Installed". The rep said that does away with the need for the humidifier bottle. Is that correct info, and if so, how does it work? If the humidifier is inside, how does it get a water supply?

My father-in-law is currently using one of these. He smokes. Of course he never smokes inside the house and that's where the machine is located. We are totally safe as far as oxygen and smoking goes... When he gets up and leaves his room, should he leave the oxygen machine on? Or is it best to turn it off? Whether it's for 5 minutes or 30 minutes. I've read many guidelines and material for this machine and cannot find the answer to that particular question. Thanks in advance
