Q and A

XPO2 Product Questions & Answers

How to change filter on the Invacare XPO2?
The Invacare XPO2 does not have a washable filter, only an internal filter that needs to be replaced. Depending on the number of hours the machine is used each day, the internal filter should be replaced every 1-2 years. The unit has a mesh screen on the front of the unit that you will want to remove the machine from the carry bag. The front of the unit will open up and the filter will be located on the face plate you remove. Perform this step every 1-2 weeks to remove any dust particles that have built up on the unit.

How do I perform a hard reset on the Invacare XPO2?
To perform a hard reset, you will need to first remove the battery from the machine and disconnect all power to the unit. Let the machine sit powered down for 2 minutes. Plug the machine back into AC power (the power supply for use in the home) and turn the machine on. Once the unit has been running for 5-10 minutes, connect the supplemental battery into the machine WHILE RUNNING. This should eliminate the issue the machine is having. If the issue still occurs, call us and we will begin the process of creating a case.

How do I insert and remove the battery on the Invacare XPO2?
When looking at the machine from the top where the handle is located, on the top right side of the machine you will notice a circular hole. This is where the supplemental battery is located. The XPO2 has an internal battery that you will never be able to see or remove. The supplemental battery is the only battery you can insert and remove from the machine.

How long does the battery last at all settings on the Invacare XPO2?
The battery duration FULLY CHARGED for Pulse Only up to the setting of 5. Keep in mind that battery durations are estimated because each patient has different breath rates and breathing patterns, which will make the batteries last for shorter or longer amounts of time. When you increase or decrease the settings, the charge per battery will either increase or decrease.
