The IntelliPAP Standard Plus with SmartFlex® weights less than five pounds with its optional Heated Humidification system. Enhanced User Comfort With SmartFlex®
SmartFlex® technology is included with this CPAP from DeVilbiss. With this feature, users have the option of three pressure comfort settings. With each of the three settings, (1, 2 or 3 cm H20), there’s a drop in pressure upon exhalation of exactly 1 cm H20. This drop in pressure lasts for the full duration of the exhalation.SmartFlex® is suspended whenever the flow generator perceives as insufficient respiration, as with apnea, for instance. Additionally, SmartFlex® is available with the ramp feature, which sets it apart from competitive solutions.
Patented Flow Rounding is also included with SmartFlex®. Flow Rounding alters the slope of the pressure waveform at the transition between prescription pressure and the SmartFlex® mode. Six levels of Flow Rounding are available, with the steepest slope at level zero and the flattest slope at level five. With the smooth transition that Flow Rounding provides, the risk of waking the CPAP user between pressure modes is lower.
Greater Care Efficacy With SmartCode
SmartCode is an alpha-numeric code that’s similar to a bar code in that it contains crucial data, specifically CPAP usage data, in an encrypted form. This code is shown on the display of the IntelliPAP and, once decrypted with our SmartCode Report Generator, is cited in a clear, easy-to-read report. This report contains helpful data that can be used by care providers to determine patient compliance with the prescribed treatment plan.With SmartCode, this CPAP doesn’t need to be connected to a computer or use memory cards to record usage and efficacy data. This makes it a convenient solution for treatment monitoring.
