The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is a national, non-profit organization “developed by homecare and alternate-site healthcare industry providers.” Their accreditation program allows health care providers to improve their care to meet ACHC’s high standards, allowing them to demonstrate their ability to meet established regulatory standards and requirements.

By earning ACHC Accreditation, American Medical Sales and Rentals demonstrates our ability to adherence to a rigorous set of standards, as well as our commitment to providing the highest-quality healthcare and services to patients. The ACHC Accreditation is a symbol of excellence and quality and has been around since 1986.

Why we are ACHC Certified?

Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) certification is not a required accreditation for healthcare organizations. We achieved this accreditation to demonstrate our commitment to quality for our customers. This is exhibited through our commitment to staying compliant and up-to-date on industry best practices and standards, continual process improvement, and containing costs.

What Our Accreditation Means For Our Customer

We here at AMSR strive to take customer care to the next level every day. This means continually adding processes that put the customer first creating an AAA+ customer experience.

We have a quality assurance process for new units that are performed on our inventory upon receiving that includes a 10-point inspection to mitigate out-of-box failures. Our gently used inventory, as well as our rental units, go through a 30-point inspection that not only ensures the unit’s working condition but a rigorous cleaning and disinfecting process. These are processes that we are continually improving upon to bring quality and service to our customers.

Safety is of the utmost importance to us not only for our customers but our employees and the companies that deliver our products. That is why we follow strict shipping guidelines for all of our products, and that includes being hazmat certified. We also have material safety data sheets on had something that all hospitals follow.

We provide all customers with a patient bill of rights. This ensures that the customer is always fully informed in advance about our services, that the customer’s information is confidential and that the customer may express a complaint or grievance without fear. We have a strict code of ethics that all employees must follow when representing AMSR. This applies to the employee to employee, employee to customer, and employee to vendor relations. All of these are policies and procedures are reviewed on an annual basis and continually improved upon with the customer first in mind.

We choose to be ACHC certified so that we are required to regularly evaluate, continually improve, and stay current on the latest industry standards and best practices to provide the best quality and service to our customers.
