The Respironics SimplyGo portable oxygen concentrator is the smallest and lightest battery-operated concentrator capable of producing both pulse flow and continuous flow oxygen delivery. It weighs only 10 pounds and can be carried on the shoulder or more commonly, transported with a convenient wheeled cart. FAA-approved for use on domestic and international flights, this versatile machine is ideal for those who travel. Sleep therapy devices such as CPAP machines can be used in conjunction with the SimplyGo when set to continuous flow mode. Built to last, this technologically advanced concentrator is an ideal oxygen solution for both daytime and nighttime oxygen therapy.

The SimplyGo can dispense between 0.5 to 2 LPM (liters per minute) of continuous flow oxygen and can also be used with a humidifier. When switched to pulse dose mode the SimplyGo features settings that range from 1 to 6. Both modes of oxygen delivery can be adjusted in 0.5 increments for maximum comfort and control, giving you the correct flow rate throughout the day and while at rest. Additionally, SimplyGo features its unique ‘Sleep Mode’ which is similar to pulse mode and has higher pulse trigger-sensitivity for comfortable sleep.

Your new SimplyGo comes complete with a user manual, be sure to read through it and keep it for future reference. You can also find the user manual conveniently located on our website. View the SimplyGo User Manual.

As with all oxygen concentrators, this machine features moving parts, within, that take ambient air and convert it into medical-grade oxygen. Sophisticated machines require maintenance on occasion to ensure peak performance. However, there are ways to minimize the time your machine spends in the shop. We’ll summarize basic maintenance here that highlights the ease of owning and operating Respironics SimplyGo.

Cleaning Your SimplyGo

It is important to keep the machine in areas free of excess dust, debris or pollutants, as these can enter the machine through the vents and cause corrosion. Normal operating environments contain trace amounts of these particles, regular cleaning will prevent accumulation and keep your machine in good working order.

Always turn off the SimplyGo and unplug it from a power source before cleaning. To clean the battery bay, remove the battery and wipe away any dust with a dry lint-free cloth. You don’t want the battery terminal or the battery bay to come in contact with any dampness or anything metal, both of which can cause damage.

Get a soft cloth damp with a mild detergent and wipe the outside of the cabinet to remove any spots, dust or dirt that has collected on the surface. Wipe it over with a clean damp cloth, and wipe it dry with a dry lint-free cloth.

Replacing the Filter

Unlike many other concentrators on the market, the SimplyGo does not have any external filters that need to be changed or cleaned on a regular basis. Respironics has placed all filtration components inside the machine for convenience. If your SimplyGo is having trouble operating, please contact the dealer you purchased your SimplyGo from to find out if the device is in need of a repair.

Replacing the Battery

The SimplyGo features a removable Lithium-ion battery that powers the machine when not connected to AC or DC power sources. These batteries can be recharged when the machine is connected to a power source or using the (optional) external battery charger. The manufacturer offers a 90-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on each battery when purchased new from an authorized distributor.

Lithium-ion batteries will decrease in efficiency over the span of about 300 to 500 charges. This is the case with all lithium-ion batteries and signals that it’s time to purchase a new battery. There are several steps you can take to ensure you get the most out of your batteries. Avoid exposure to moisture and extreme temperatures, do not leave batteries or the concentrator in the car for long periods of time. Be sure to protect the batteries from physical damage and only use Respironics brand accessories and chargers. Lastly, remove the battery if the SimplyGo will not be used for an extended period of time.

Sending your Machine for Service

The warranty on your device is linked with the distributor that provided the machine. Should your SimplyGo needs service, contact your provider or distributor to initiate the repair process.
In the event that your SimplyGo needs service, American Medical will ensure that all manufacturer’s processes are followed to have the machine properly maintained. Work is completed at a certified repair facility by qualified technicians, this maintains the manufacturer warranty on the device. We will have the unit returned to you as quickly as possible so you can stay on the go!
