When comparing two different portable oxygen concentrators, there are a variety of factors you need to consider. Are they truly portable? Are they light? Small? How is the battery life? What about a warranty? The factors can easily seem endless. Use this guide to help you as you explore your options and make your choice between two excellent portable oxygen concentrators, the SimplyGo Mini and the Inogen One G3.
The SimplyGo Mini is both compact and lightweight at less than 10 inches in all dimensions and under 6 pounds. It can provide pulse flow oxygen up-to 5 settings and up to a maximum of 1000 mL/minute. The unit’s battery life is above average at 4.5 hours, enough for most activities. The unit is covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty, except for the sieve beds which are guaranteed for 1 year. Also, the Mini is equipped with a reinforced casing to stand up to the bumps, bangs, and dings that accompany an active lifestyle. The unit is quiet during operation, only generating a soft 43 decibels of noise.
The Inogen One G3 portable oxygen concentrator is comparable in size and weight to the SimplyGo Mini, at about 6 pounds and under 9 inches in all dimensions. While it also delivers oxygen via pulse dose at a choice of 5 settings, the G3 boasts Inogen’s custom technology that automatically adjusts the oxygen dose to best complement your current breathing rate. The battery life differs just slightly from the Mini, with an average of 3 hours of operation on a full charge. Like the Mini, the G3 carries a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and produces only 39 decibels of noise. The G3 is also FAA approved for passenger flight use.
To conclude, you can see that these are both great portable oxygen concentrators. Most of their features are nearly identical, but the SimplyGo Mini does enjoy an additional 90 minutes of average battery life. However, the Inogen One G3 features auto-adjusting technology to maximize the efficiency of your oxygen delivery, which can certainly be a useful feature for some patients.

can you confirm that simple min will be useful fpr a copd patient.
I can tell you that the SimplyGo Mini is good for a patient with COPD if it meets the person’s oxygen therapy requirements. Each persons oxygen therapy requirements are different therefore you consult with an oxygen specialist to make sure you are getting a unit that best fits your needs.

Is there an electrical outlet option with either, meaning is one able to plug it in for overnite use rather than battery use portability.
All portable oxygen concentrators can either be used plugged into the wall or run off of battery power. When the unit is plugged into the wall with the battery attached it will charge the battery even while in use.
May I check if whilst in use and I keep plugging the unit into the wall and it charges the battery attached, will it concurrently reduce the lifespan of the battery. Need to understand, so as to decide if to depend on this portable O2 Concentrator whilst at home or get another non-portable wall socket powered O2 Concentrator for home use.
Lithium ion batteries are pretty durable. The lifespan of the battery should not be significantly reduced by having it plugged it. Like all batteries they will become less effective over time with constant use. What is a benefit is the ability to have a second battery where they can be used and switched periodically so they extend the battery life. Hope this helps.
Which is better for a person with 90 years old that needs to use oxygen within 16 hours with a flow of 2lt per minute..she has EPOC., and uses a home oxygen concentrator
This is dependent on a number of factors. Please contact our offices at 888-360-9628 to speak with an oxygen specialist about your specific needs.

I am Stage 4 COPD and have the Inogen G3 and tried a Simply go l omini as a backup for when I travel. The Simply go mini is a beautiful device but tends vibrate more than the Inogen G3. The Simply Go mini has a nice simple controls and the padded cases are great. My opinion in always buy a unit that will handle your oxygen needs while walking or lifting. COPD gets worse so plan for a stronger unit. Both are capable, bear in mind battery times reduce as you increase the settings. Just some thoughts.
