  1. Would you please let me know how and when to replacement is sieve bed? How much is the costs? How long is the useful life? The Inogen has user replaceable canisters and for Philips Simply Go mini, how do they handle that?

    Thank you very much.

    Sincerely yours,

    David

    • Hi David,
Sieve beds should be changed between 12 to 15 months on portable oxygen concentrators. Yes, Inogen has user-replaceable sieve beds. For SimplyGo Mini, you’ll need to contact your equipment provider to set up repairs. The device will alert you 30 days in advance from when it’s time to change the sieve beds.
      Thanks.

      • My Phillips SimplyGo mini shows the sieve bed will soon need to be replaced and I’ve only been using it two months. As I live in northern British Columbia, Canada I don’t have a repair centre near me to have the sieve changed. Can I do it myself and if so where do I buy the replacement sieve from? By shipping it to a repair centre leaves me without oxygen for a few weeks and that would not be good. Thank you. Brian.

        • Hello Brian, If you recently purchased your unit, the unit might still be under warranty. SimplyGo Mini sieve beds are not user-replaceable. You’ll need to ship the unit in for repairs. Your supplier will help you out with the details.
We suggest arranging for an alternate source of oxygen when the unit is in repairs. A head’s up, repairs are taking longer than usual these days due to global supply chain issues.

    • Please contact your equipment provider (where you purchased the concentrator from) or the manufacturer to get your unit serviced. New units, usually, come with a 3-years warranty.

      • Do to my Inogen malfunctioning while on a visit to Brazil, I had to buy a SimplyGo mini concentrator, to use on the plane to get back home to the USA. It is brand new, I have used it for only 3 hours when the “yellow service sieve ” icon came on, it came on two more times in the next hour, you said in another post that it will alert you 30 days in advance, it has the certificate of conformance in 2018! Yep, it’s been sitting on the shelf for three years! Is the warranty still good and did the sieves drain out or???
        Thanks

          • I bought the SimplyGo, the people (CPAPS Importacao &Comercio de Eqipmentos) I bought it from say talk with Philips!!!
Sanket Jain, I’m in Brazil, can you give me a phone number for Philips in Brazil?
I just want to get back home to America!
            Thank you

  2. My Mother-in-law dropped the unit and broke the charging plug on the inside. It is a small plug in and it is replaceable. Plugs into the mother board. Where can I get a repair parts list? Can I order replacement parts? SimplyGo Mini Device REF 1113600. S/NM9063611D6FE Built 2018-11-08

    • Our Oxygen Specialist would be happy to help you out with your requirements. Please give us a call at (877) 644-4581.

  3. I bought a Simply Go in 1916 and have used it 3 times . I go it out and changed the battery . and it will run for about 3or 4 minutes and quit. surely using it 3 times is should be OK and I thought these were good machines guess I was wrong.

    • If the device is not used regularly, the sieve beds will harden and obstruct the airflow. This might shut the unit down. Please contact your vendor for repairs.

  4. I have mini portable machine and the charger plug just stopped charging. How do I fix it? Parts or repair service. Machine is 3 years old and used maybe a year and a half.

    • It could an issue with the battery, the charger, or the unit.
If you have another battery try that, if it charges then the issue is with the other battery. If not, then batteries are fine and it could be the unit or the charger.
Now, try to charge the battery from the car DC adapter. If it charges, then the wall outlet power cord is not working. If not, then the issue is with the unit and it needs to go in for repairs. Hope that helps.

  5. I used my Philips GoMini for a little over a year when it finally went and my supplier had to send it out for repairs. I received it back yesterday after waiting two full months. Is there any way to check to see what the problem was and whether it was repaired or replaced? It looks like a new unit. I want to make sure the problem wasn’t caused by a defective battery. Is there some way for me to find out? My supplier said there is no way to check.

Also need clarification on charging the batteries. One person said to leave the unit plugged in all the time, another said to run it down to zero before charging it again. So if I have 25% left on it, can I re-charge or do I have to get it down to zero first.

    • Unfortunately, only your supplier could provide repair details.

As for the battery, it’s a good idea to drain the battery once in a while for better battery health. SimplyGo Mini is not a stationary unit, so you don’t have to keep it plugged in all the time. But if you need oxygen 24/7, it can be plugged in 24/7. Don’t worry too much about when to recharge and how much to drain. Drain down the battery once in while.

  6. I bought my husband a Simply Go Mini in Jan.2020 for his IPF. He only used it a few times. The oxygen stopped flowing through the canula. We sent it in to be repaired over 3 months ago, and they are charging us over $360.00 for the repairs. It has a 3 year warranty that has not yet expired. WHY would they charge this kind of money if it’s under warranty? It was supposed to be a brand new machine, but now I am thinking they sold me an old one. It should not have broken so fast. How can we find out of those repairs were covered?

    • Hello Lorrie, we suggest talking directly with the manufacturer to understand your warranty period. And you can check that with the warranty information provided in the invoice.
If the unit is under warranty, usually, only shipping is charged.

  7. Hello,

I bought a Simply Go Mini off Craigslist a couple months back- wouldn’t you know it- the seive appears to need replacing. I bought it used because insurance wouldn’t cover a portable unit and after heart surgery followed by pulmonary embolisms money is beyond tight. My question- how much, ball park, to replace the seive in this type unit and the the time to repair?

    Thanks

    • The cost and time to repair the sieve in your SimplyGo Mini will depend on several factors, including the severity of the issue and the specific parts needed. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer or an authorized repair center to get a more accurate estimate for the repair.

In general, the cost to replace a sieve bed in a portable oxygen concentrator ranges between a few hundred dollars. The time to repair can also vary, but it typically takes a few days to a week for the repair to be completed.

It’s important to note that purchasing a used oxygen concentrator can come with risks, as there may be hidden issues that can surface over time. It’s always recommended to purchase from a reputable seller and have the device checked by a qualified technician before use.
