AirSep Focus
This small portable oxygen concentrator is only 2 lbs, has a great long-lasting battery and can travel virtually anywhere with you. It’s approved by the FAA for use on board an airplane, and you can take it on any other mode of transportation. Just charge up the two micro batteries, and you will have 3 hours before you have to stop and recharge (1.5 hours for each battery). The batteries will take a total of 4 hours to recharge.
The Focus is carried around with the carry bag and shoulder strap designed specifically for the Focus. The strap is fully adjustable and the carry bag protects it from the elements, and any bumps or dings. The Focus can be used with the supplemental battery known as the AirSep AirBelt. You just wear it around your waist, and plug it into the Focus as needed. The AirBelt can be charged with the AC or DC power cord that comes with the Focus.
AirSep Freestyle 3
By itself, the Freestyle is only 4.4 lbs, and is smaller and lighter than the average handbag. It’s amazing that this tiny portable oxygen concentrator can provide as much as 332 ml of oxygen per minute. The internal battery of the Freestyle can last for 2.5 hours on the setting of 2, give or take depending on the setting it’s on. You can get up to 10 hours of battery life with the AirSep AirBelt.
You can carry the Freestyle around by the adjustable shoulder strap, and you can charge it up with the AC and DC power supply cords that come with the Freestyle. The supplemental AirBelt can also be charged the same way, in the car or in a home power outlet. The Freestyle only takes 2 minutes to warm up before you can begin using it.
Inogen One G3
The Inogen One G3 weighs just 4.9 lbs with the standard 8 cell battery inside it. You also have the option of using the G3 with the 16 cell battery, which gives you double the battery duration, but is also double the weight. Even if you use the 16 cell battery, the Inogen One G3 is still considered lighter and smaller than the average handbag. With the 8 cell you have around an average of 4 hours, and 8 hours with the 16 cell.
The flow settings on the G3 range from 1 to 4, and the average oxygen purity is around 90% on all settings. This portable oxygen concentrator is also approved by the FAA, and is a favorite to be taken on long trips of all kinds.
Lifechoice Activox
The Activox is only 4.8 lbs but it can deliver pulse dose oxygen between 1 and 3 LPM. It also has an amazing internal battery that can last for up to 12 hours on the lowest setting. Even on the setting of 3, it will give you plenty of time between charges. This is one of the perfect portable oxygen concentrators for the active oxygen therapy patient.

I have an indigenous 3 and am very active and snowboard and bicycle with it. It is not that old. However it is feeling rather heavy in my backpack along with other things and was wanting to check into a smaller unit. One of these saud it was okay to use at night too ( one if the under five pounds range). Is that true? Also what does 330 or 331 liters per minute transcribe into a pulse rate if 1 to 3 or 4? Probably the only thing that drives me crazy about the Inogen is the pulse rate is delicious vetee automatically which is super irritating when active rather than a breath activated system. Can you advise me if which to purchase? I live in Colorado and am at altitudes if 9200 feet regularly. I will try this weekend to monitor flow w rate and my oxygen level with my current unit. Thanks for your time. Any place that will take older units back for a rebate?
