If you’re fascinated with the allure of the West, cowboys, but you have a flair for fine art, Fort Worth is the perfect vacation destination for you. This city is part of a much larger metropolitan area that involves also Dallas and Arlington, and spans over several counties. As they say, everything is big in Texas. You’ll want to spend at least several days exploring this bustling and fast-growing city. Fort Worth is known as the “Gateway to the West”, and would be one of the best stops on a road trip across Texas. No matter how you plan to travel to and through it, one of our portable oxygen concentrator rentals will see you through.

There are few things to ask yourself when looking into renting a portable oxygen concentrator: Will I be flying or driving? Exactly how long will my trip be? How many days will I be staying in Fort Forth (and in each town if you are road tripping)? Knowing the answers to these simple questions will help us determine the best possible portable oxygen concentrator for you, as well as how many batteries to add on to your rental package. Our job is to make sure your oxygen needs are met for the duration of your trip, as well as save you money in the process.

If you plan on flying to Fort Worth, notify the airline at least 2 weeks before your flight that you will be bringing a portable oxygen concentrator on board. If you are driving, just be sure that you won’t have any trouble charging your concentrator’s battery while running it off of your car’s battery. You also need to make sure you are up for the trip, by visiting your doctor and getting his or her approval for the trip.

It gets really hot in Forth Worth during the summer, with day time high averages at around 100 degrees. Going during this time of year is ill-advised, especially if you have a chronic lung condition. The high heat can be stifling for many people and cause breathing problems in people with COPD and asthma. Going during the spring is also somewhat of a bad idea because of tornado season. The best time of year to visit Fort Worth is during October or November, when temperatures are mild and the skies are clearer.

If you’re with the family, check out the Fort Worth Zoo or the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. You also can’t miss at least one of the great art museums located here – The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Amon Carter Museum, or Kimbell Art Museum. You’ll might also want to check out the The Civil War Museum and refresh your knowledge of the American Civil War.
