Columbus Ohio might not be one of the most well-known cities in the country, but there are plenty of reasons to visit. In 2013, Forbes magazine gave this city a grade A in business, and in 2012, it was named as one of the top 50 best cities in the US. Whether you’re into art, technology, golf, roses, or you just love a good college football game, Columbus is a very diverse city and has something for everybody. Let us help you out with your oxygen therapy needs, on your trip to this great city, with a portable oxygen concentrator rental!

No matter how you’re getting to The Buckeye City, or how you plan on getting around when you get there, one of our portable oxygen concentrators will see you through, as long as you have the battery power you need. First, we will help you decide on a rental that will meet your oxygen needs. Next, we will help you add on any extra batteries you might need.

For instance, if you need constant oxygen, you will need to add on more batteries to your rental package. If you are flying into town, you will need to contact your airline to see what their battery requirements are. They want to make sure you will have plenty of power for your trip, even if you face delays, and so do we! All of our portable models are approved for use on an airplane (approved by the Federal Aviation Administration) and you can just as easily get on any other type of transportation with them.

The best time of year to visit Columbus is in early or late summer, but you are less likely to see rain and cloudy days if you go during early September. In September, the weather is usually still pleasant enough to do outside activities, and the days are more clear with less humidity on average.

Your rental package includes everything you will need, including the carry bag or cart that you will need to bring your portable concentrator with you when you see the sights. Even if you get a heavier unit that requires a cart (like the Oxlife Independence, or the DeVilbiss iGo), you won’t need to worry about it getting in the way, even in the most uneven or crowded areas. The carts are very easy to move around, are light and the wheels are designed to go just about anywhere.

So you will have the freedom to visit Columbus’s most famous destinations, like visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. If you have kids with you, you can take them to COSI for a hands-on and entertaining science lesson. For the garden aficionados, The Park of Roses is one of the biggest public rose gardens in the US. The Columbus Museum of Art and The Wexner Center for the Arts are here if you want to see a show or have a creative experience. Visit Mirror Lake on the massive Ohio State campus, or go to Alum Creek if you want to spend some time outdoors while you’re in Columbus.

  1. Iā€™m in need of a portable oxygen concentrator for my mother that is in heart failure and has struggled to breathe. Do I need a prescription? Is there a contract? Can I rent by the month? Does all the tubing come with a unit? What is cheaper a floor model or a carry around model?

    Thanks

  2. Good morning! I’m sorry this message is so late or I guess I should say early. My mother is visiting and definitely from Illinois. She is on continuous oxygen and that keeps her very housebound. She does have two portable tanks but unfortunately they don’t get her very far. A trip to Easton today sent us home within 20 minutes. What we really need are extra tanks but I’m not sure how to get those. I’m also open-minded to any other suggestions you may have. My goal is to get her to stay as long as possible. šŸ™‚ thanks so much! 703-304-9233

  3. I am looking to rent a potable oxygen delivery device for my father. It needs to have a continual flow of 4 lpm minimum.

    • Continuous flow portable units can up to 3 LPM at max. However, there’s Inogen At Home that can go up to 5 LPM and is the lightest stationary unit at just 18 pounds. Our Oxygen Specialists would be happy to understand your requirements and advise the way forward. Please give us a call at (877) 644-4581.
