  1. I am a 72 year old white male who has been diagnosed with COPD. To say I am afraid of catching the Corona Virus is an understatement. With the lack of Ventilators available and the infection numbers rising quickly, there maybe no help for many. And to see the prices of Oxygen rentals at $420.00 per week, is a death sentence to most seniors. I expected better!

    • We understand that these sophisticated machines might be costly. We have some gently used machines in our inventory and we do offer some great financing plans. Please give us a call at 877-644-4581 to figure out if one fits your needs.

  2. I have chronic copd. My lungs are real bad. I’m n the hospital every two month. I almost died 3 times. They called all my family in and the Chaplin. But they told my kids that if I didn’t hear from them I made it thru the night. My son was beside me saying mom u are my life. My daughter was n shock. My little sister and she help my kids make the decision . They wanted no tubes down my throat or put me n coma for 10 days hoping I would wake up. And they finally decide to put stent n groan cause I was full of infection. That dr. Saved my life. ThankGod. I am alive today because of him and God. My kids would love for me to have one of these. So please if u could get me one of these they would love me to Rae walks with them. GOD BLESS YOU!

    • I’ve forwarded your information to the sales department. Our oxygen specialist will contact you to assist with the process.

  4. Just wondering if in this pandemic there is an oxygen machine one could buy to have on hand in case they get sick? Is this practical? Just wondering. Would be willing to purchase if a machine were available to the public?

    • We understand your concern regarding COVID-19. Oxygen is a prescribed drug per FDA rules and regulations. An oxygen concentrator cannot be purchased over-the-counter; a prescription is a must. After a medical examination, the doctor prescribes the oxygen flow rate and flow type to bring the patient’s blood oxygen saturation at the normal level. Please take care and let us know if you have any further questions.

  5. I have an oxygen concentrator but was told it will not help with coronavirus because the ventilator does a different thing. Please help

    • Good question! Oxygen concentrators and ventilators are different. Think of an oxygen concentrator as a subset of a ventilator. An oxygen concentrator can perform some of the many functions that a ventilator can perform – oxygen concentrator can supply oxygen and the oxygen flow rate can be adjust as per the machine’s capacity. Ventilators are more sophisticated and depending on the model one can adjust the air pressure, oxygen flow rate, airflow type, oxygen purity level, etc. Many hospitals and clinics are using oxygen concentrators to administer oxygen to patients in this time of the Coronavirus crisis.

I have passed along your information to an Oxygen Specialist who will reach out regarding your request. Also, we can quickly answer your questions over a phone call. Please reach us out at 888-387-5914.

  6. I was layedoff my job because covid19 and would like my payments deferred for a month or two could you get back to me thank you

    • I don’t see any transaction under your name. Please, check your sales order and contact the equipment provider for more information.

  7. Hello Sanket,
How is it determined that O2 is no longer needed? Can a pulse oximeter reading determine that? Is it dangerous to stop using O2 once you’ve started? Thank you for your information and attention!

    • Hi Johnny, the doctor determines when to use oxygen therapy. Some patients are prescribed supplemental oxygen only for the nighttime and they do not use oxygen during the day. However, if one is noticing a drop in oxygen levels during the day, then it should be consulted with a doctor.
If you talking of oxygen therapy in longer terms, then some patients require it temporarily like post-surgery while others require it more or less permanently. Again, it’s a doctor who tells when to discontinue oxygen therapy.

  8. I have COPD as well as other damage to my lungs. I was told by my Doctor that l would be on oxygen for life. I am on Medicare and Medicaid please let me know if l gualify for a consentrater . And if my insurance will pay for it ?

    • Medicare covers oxygen needs. However, usually, it provides a stationary oxygen concentrator or an oxygen tank as a portable solution. For more information click here to watch our video on Medicare and Oxygen Solutions. Please reach us out at 888-387-5914

  9. My Inogen 3 went to the factory for repair. At the time it was sent in, you were not able to rent me a loaner.
Is this still the case? I would really like to rent either a G3 or 4. Or any other appropriate concentrator.
I am tired of being limited to the 50’ my hose takes me.

    • Hello Ruth, sorry to hear about your trouble. We are committed to customer satisfaction. I’ve passed on your query to the customer support department and they’ll reach out to you as soon as possible.

    • Currently, there is no research that shows the efficacy of a portable oxygen concentrator on filtering out the virus. Nevertheless, before the oxygen is delivered to a patient, oxygen concentrators filter out bacteria, air flowing through the compressor gets heated, and then it passes through Zeolite. This acts as a layer of protection – we can’t say how strong though. We are in constant contact with the manufacturers and will post more information as it arises.
Please wear a mask and follow social-distancing where possible. Stay safe!

  10. Follow-up on Ruby’s question. I do wear a mask but what about the concentrator intake? Should we make some kind of mask for it too? For when we have to go shopping?

    • Hi Cindy, a mask on a concentrator will hinder the airflow. If you plan to cover just the air inlet vents it’ll make the air compressor work harder to take in the air and as a result, the machine may heat up. In other words, how a vacuum cleaner heats up when the inlet is obstructed. If you plan to use a mask for your oxygen concentrator, then use it only for a short duration. Hope this helps.
If you have more questions our Oxygen Specialists will be happy to help you out! Please reach us out at 888-387-5914.

  11. is there any further (newer) info on how you can mask the air intake vents on a portable O2 concentrator without overheating the concentrator? Because if you can’t mask the air intake, you aren’t safe to go out in public no matter how many vaccinations you get, or how many masks you put over your face. You are still breathing ambient air, which may be full of the corona virus, and it is going directly into your head.

    • It is not recommended to add any additional masks or filters to the oxygen concentrator. We’ve not received any new information from the manufacturer regarding this.

  12. Hi Sanket,
We are a not for profit organization and looking to purchase for Oxygen Concentrators (240 volts ,10L) to be shipped to India.

We do understand that you will not be able to ship to India however wanted to know the cost and feasibility of procuring them should we arrange to collect them from you and ship them ourselves.

Can you please let me know.

    Thanks

    • Hello Mr. Trivedi, currently 10 LPM oxygen concentrators are experiencing some backlog because of the huge surge in the demand. We can ship the unit within the US when it’s available. We suggest you contact the manufacturers in the US directly for quicker procurement and they can also refer you to dealers in Asia. I’d also advise checking recent changes in rules and regulations around importing oxygen equipment in India for a smoother import experience.

        • Please search for Inogen, Philips Respironics, CAIRE, ResMed, and Invacare. You can find the contact details or contact form on their website.

  13. Hi Sanket,

As you know, the situation in my country is going Bad. I want to purchase OXY Concentrators and send them to India. May I know If your company can help me out.

    Regards

    Manoj

    • Hello Mr. Pattanaik, we cannot ship our products internationally. However, we can ship them within the US. If you can arrange the logistics or someone traveling to India can take the unit along, then contact us.

Currently, we are out of stock of stationary units but you can place the order can we can ship them when they arrive.

  14. Hi
I bought recently “Nidek Nuvo 10 Liter Oxygen Concentrator” in USA for my family who is in urgent need in India.

In India the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. The device Average Power Consumption is 600 W and Voltage is 115V.

Will this device work well with 220 V To 110 V Step Down Transformer?

    • Ensure that the transformer supports 600 W units. Also, check the transformers runtime, i.e. whether it can be used for 24 hours.
