  1. Unit quite often locks up and can’t change settings or shut it off. The only way to shut it down and restart it is to remove the battery and then replace it to restart it. This is especially irritating when traveling. Is this a common problem with the G3?

We live in the mountains and this unit is also necessary when going outside or working in the garage. It is a “necessary” device. to remain mobile — and is used daily — despite the fact that regular home concentrator is used while in the home.

  2. I bought the refurbished first then sent it back and bought a new one .at the start I was disappointed cause on a commercial it showed using it at night and in day at home instead of the big home unit that you rent then after that I was told no they will wear out after awhile. I heard reciently that Medicare will pay on these units after you have met your deduction is this True? I would like to have a mother battery as a back up but they are to high . Yesterday it started beeping saying it was hot ,it kept doing this finally had to turn it off and do without the oxygen as we weren’t to far from home when we arrived we pulled the cloth cover off and cleaned the filters which there wasn’t much in it .Put them back in turned it back on hubby put one of the canisters on wheels in our car for church last night but I didn’t need it my little portable worked fine. My is the Inogen 3 goes to 5 they don’t make a lighter unit that goes to 6 do they?

        • You can take your unit to a service center and ask for an Oxygen Purity analysis.
However, Inogen G3 has internal checks and will alert you if the Oxygen Purity gets low or Pressure drops.

  3. I’m so disappointed and want to just give up and live out the rest of my life in a nursing home. I am on my 4th Inogen G3 and it is broke yet again. Medicare will not pay for another one. I have horrible COPD and emphasima, also a nodule on my lung. I now have no Oxygen cause of this problem and constantly in the emergency room cause I can’t breathe right. I just want a unit that works right. I deserve to breathe right

  5. I love my Inogen G3. I had to have it repaired once when it wouldn’t take a plug into the machine, but you repaired it and I haven’t had any problems since. Thanks you for the excellent service.

  6. My mother has an Inogen One G3 unit that was given to her; she did not purchase it. Does this unit require periodic calibration? If yes, are there instructions that show how this is done?
    Thank you!

  7. Can we perhaps have a list of error messages that can appear so that would make it easier for us to explain to the helpdesk if required.

  8. Can we perhaps have a list of error messages that can appear so that would make it easier for us to explain to the helpdesk if required. I have a Inogen one G3

  9. When I installed the new sieves, when I took the rubber nippel off of one of them there was an escapement of air. I don not get an error but the machine seems to be very loud. Do I need to send it in to be checked? I have owned my Inogen G3 since July of 2018 and just received the message to replace the sieves in January of 2021. The manual indicates to replace the sieves every year. Please advise. Thank you.

    • If the oxygen concentrator is making unusually high noise, please get it checked. Service center would fix any leaks or loose moving parts inside the machine.
