A portable oxygen concentrator allows its users to travel, sleep with comfort, recover, and enjoy life’s adventures — all while supporting their health with oxygen. About 16 million Americans have COPD, which may require them to use supplemental oxygen daily, some even 24/7. Oxygen therapy is used to increase the blood oxygen level and it can be administered from tanks, stationary concentrators, or portable concentrators.
How to sell an oxygen concentrator? Read below and find the best practices to sell your used concentrator.
If you no longer require a portable or home oxygen concentrator, it is possible to sell it. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. First of all, an oxygen unit is considered a prescription-only medical device, and its sale is regulated by federal laws. You need to work with an authorized retailer or manufacturer to sell your used concentrator safely and legally. You’ll also want to make sure that you are selling your unit to someone who follows industry standards to recertify the unit before reselling it.
At Oxygen Concentrator Store, we offer two different options for selling your oxygen concentrator. The first is our buyback program, which pays cash for eligible machines. The second is a trade-in option where you can use the amount towards a new unit.
Here’s Our Guide to Selling a Portable Oxygen Concentrator:
We offer a Buyback Program
If you don’t need an oxygen concentrator, Oxygen Concentrator Store offers a Buyback option. Our buyback program is best for those who won’t need another oxygen machine, so they are solely looking to sell and get paid for their oxygen concentrator. You can start the buyback process by filling out a quick form. If your oxygen product is eligible for our buyback program, we’ll display the buyback estimate instantly. If you accept the offer, we’ll email you a prepaid shipping label which you can use to ship the unit. Once we receive and inspect your machine, we’ll mail you a check.
No phone calls are required for our online, quick, and reliable buyback process. We offer top dollars on used oxygen concentrators.
Trade-in Your Oxygen Concentrator
Do you have a used portable oxygen machine that doesn’t suit your needs? Or perhaps your doctor suggested another brand or model to better provide for your health and improve your quality of life. In this case, trading in your portable oxygen might be a great option for your situation. You can use the money received from your old concentrator towards a new one. If you aren’t sure which portable oxygen concentrator is best for you, our Oxygen Specialists can assist with matching you with the right product. However, note that purchasing an oxygen concentrator requires a prescription.
Call us at 877.774.9271 to work with an Oxygen Specialist to work with you on trade-in options.
Quality Assurance is Paramount
At Oxygen Concentrator Store, our Quality Assurance team ensures that every portable oxygen concentrator is in great condition or can be repaired to attain industry standards. This process confirms that all accepted oxygen machines are of high quality before resale. Thus, this vital process has our consumers in mind, as we only sell the highest quality of products.

Sirs,
With hope of selling Oxygen portable cylinders to the needy, I arranged shipping of from manufacturers with their product namely OXY99 around 460 nos. (each bottle contains 6ltrs.of Oxygen during 2019.before the impact of COVID19 in India.).
Is there any expiry for OXYGEN? as the portable cylinders termed with expiry date. It was heard there is no expiry for OXYGEN & the mentioned expiry date is only nominal mandatory by the medical authorities.
Kindly confirm your advice & is it possible for You
taking the same for sale if there’s no expiry for OXYGEN (of course with approval from authorities)
as I don’t have team to sell the same.
Portable oxygen concentrators do not store oxygen. They filter air in real time out to provide medical-grade oxygen. So, Oxygen will not expire.
If you are talking about tanks or cylinders, please check with your vendor.

I have a inogen one G2 oxygen concentrator model 10–200. I have been informed that it is over five years old. I am willing to sell it for 500 if anyone is interested the battery life is about an hour and 45 minutes. Comes with charger carrying case and roll around Carrier
I have a G5 Inogen that has had little use, maybe about ten hours of actual time. I have had it since August of this year. It was used after I was released from the hospital Everything is clean and in working order, a cannulas will be need to be purchased separately. With the G5 Concentrator comes with 2 Rechargeable Batteries, a 120v household power cable, a car transformer power cable, and the black carrying case with strap. I believe that the G5 Concentrator is in very good condition and I need to sell the G5 because I am in financial difficulties. I feel that the G5, with the little use is of a good market value of $2400.00. Would you like a photo of the G5? Thank you, David Corona.

If you need to dispose of an old oxygen concentrator, it’s important to do so in a safe and responsible manner. Here are some steps to consider:
Contact the manufacturer: Some manufacturers have a recycling program for their products. Contact the manufacturer of your oxygen concentrator to see if they offer a take-back or recycling program for your old unit. You can check details about our Buyback Program.
Donate to a medical equipment recycling program: There are many non-profit organizations that accept donations of medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators. These organizations refurbish the equipment and donate them to people in need. Search online for local organizations that accept medical equipment donations, or check with your local healthcare provider or hospital to see if they have any recommendations.
Contact your local waste management authority: Depending on where you live, your local waste management authority may have specific regulations on how to dispose of medical equipment. Contact them to see if they have any guidelines on how to dispose of your oxygen concentrator.
Do not throw it in the trash: It’s important not to simply throw your oxygen concentrator in the trash. The device may contain electronic components or batteries that could be hazardous to the environment if not disposed of properly.
By taking these steps, you can ensure that your old oxygen concentrator is disposed of safely and responsibly.
