Colorado’s largest city and state capital is a great place to visit, with many things to do with the whole family. If you plan on traveling to or from the Denver area, our fleet of rental portable oxygen concentrators are ready for you with just a phone call.

Go anywhere around town with one of our portable models, which allow you to travel as light as possible, while receiving your oxygen therapy. None of our portable oxygen concentrators weigh more than 20 lbs, so you’ll be able to easily cart it around town at your side, strapped to your back in a backpack, or on one of our sturdy and easy-to-maneuver carts. Bringing your portable oxygen concentrator with you wherever you go has never been easier or more convenient.

While in the city with family, you’ll want to check out the Denver Zoo, the Downtown Aquarium, or go treat them to an educational day at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. There are plenty of hot spots if a night on the town is what you’re after. A very cool hotspot is Peak’s Lounge, where you can look out the panoramic windows for a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain peaks and city skyline. They don’t call it “the mile high city” for nothing! During a Colorado Rockie’s home game, LoDo’s Bar and Grill, close to Coors Field, is the most fun place to be.

If you’re feeling especially adventurous, you could do some high altitude hiking or camping in the mountains. When shopping for an oxygen concentrator, check the maximum operational altitude, and choose according to how high you want to go. For example, the oxygen rentals with the highest operational altitudes are the SeQual Eclipse 5, Oxlife Independence and the DeVilbiss iGo, all of which have a maximum operational altitude of 13,123 feet. The next highest are the Inogen G2 and Respirionics SimplyGo, and both of them can go as high as 10,000 feet and still work just as well. The Lifechoice works up to a height of 8,000 feet above sea level.

Don’t worry about disturbing anyone while you’re out and about with the sounds of your portable oxygen concentrator. It’s likely that most of the places you will visit will be much louder, since none of our portable concentrators are over 50 decibels. Just think of the hum of a library or a an electrical transformer – that’s how “loud” a portable concentrator is. Even if you go see a movie at the Mayan Theater, no one will be disturbed by your oxygen concentrator.

Just make sure you have a good time, without worry, by making sure you have a backup battery and external charger, or an external battery belt. Some portable models, like the Inogen One G2, run on batteries that can be removed and charged externally while another is inside your machine. Other models, like the Lifechoice, come with an external battery belt that can take over when the internal battery life goes down. Getting a concentrator with a high battery life will ensure that you have a great time while staying in Denver.
