If you’ve come to Denver for some big city fun, you will want to swing into a nearby little town called Parker, for an easy going but still interesting fun before you go. In 2011, Parker, CO was number 29 on CNN Money’s “Best Places to Live”, and for good reason. It’s still considered a small town, and has the best of both worlds – great cultural destinations with some natural beauty and plenty of outdoor fun to be had. You might just like it so much that you will never want to leave. With one of our affordable portable oxygen concentrator rental packages, you can plan on sticking around for as long as you want.

If you are traveling from Denver to Parker, it will only take you about 25 minutes by car, depending on traffic. That won’t be a big deal – just make sure you have a fully-charged battery for your portable oxygen concentrator rental, just in case you get stuck in traffic on the way there. It’s most likely that even if you are flying here to specifically visit friends or family in Parker, that you will be flying into Denver and then driving to Parker.

Just don’t forget to call your airline 2 weeks before your flight to let them know you will be bringing a portable oxygen concentrator with you. All of our rental packages are FAA approved to be brought aboard a passenger airplane, but they may want to go over some things with you first, such as how much battery power they require you to bring on your flight. We would then take that information, along with the rest of your requirements such as oxygen dosage, and help you choose the best portable oxygen concentrator and the right number of batteries for your needs.

If you want to see the outdoor beauty surrounding Parker, and go to one of the many parks for some exercise and fresh air, coming during September and early October would be the best choice. These months are much dryer than spring and not as hot as the summer. If you want to go swimming and enjoy the hotter months, by all means, come during July when the average temperature is around 85 degrees. For safety and to make sure your portable concentrator runs smoothly, never leave it in a parked car, even during the fall when it isn’t as warm.

If you’re with the family, visiting The Wildlife Experience will be fun for the everyone, complete with animals in their natural habitats and 3D movies about nature. If you go during the summer, take everyone down to the H2O’Brien Pool for a swim and a run through the giant sprinklers.

Later in the evening, you and some adult friends can visit the Elk Brewing Company for some of the best beer around. If you’re hungry for some good ribs and a great atmosphere, head over to Hickory House and make yourself at home. Moving around a crowded restaurant won’t be a problem, with your portable concentrator’s small and light wheel cart, or the comfortable and discreet carry bag.
